Why We Built This

SeeItEarly was built by someone who's actually been in those seats. After attending 66+ advance screenings since 2020, from studio events at Walt Disney Studios and restoration screenings at the El Capitan Theatre to a Q&A with Jerry Bruckheimer at Apple Park's Steve Jobs Theater, we knew firsthand how scattered and hard to find these opportunities were.

Every screening meant checking a different site: Gofobo for one movie, Advance Screenings for another, a studio portal for the next. Passes would go live and disappear before you even knew they existed. We kept wishing someone would just put them all in one place. So we built it.

SeeItEarly automatically monitors 30+ screening sources multiple times per day and brings every listing into one searchable feed. No more checking a dozen sites. Just browse, filter by your city, and claim passes.

Built on Real Experience

We don't just aggregate screenings. We attend them. Our founder has been to 40+ advance screenings, premieres, red carpets, Q&As, and studio events across Los Angeles and Atlanta since 2020. That firsthand experience shapes every decision we make about what information matters and how to present it.

How It Works

1

We Scan the Sources

Our automated scrapers check 30+ screening distribution platforms every few hours, including Gofobo, Advance Screenings, 1iota, Ticketmaster, Alamo Drafthouse, and studio-specific portals.

2

We Enrich the Data

Each screening is matched against TMDB for movie posters, trailers, cast info, and release dates. We flag early screenings, highlight free events, and detect duplicates across sources.

3

You Find & Claim Passes

Browse screenings by city, movie, or date. When you find one, click through to the original source to claim your free passes. We never gatekeep or require an account.

Our Sources

We aggregate from a wide range of screening distribution platforms, studio portals, and event sites. Here are some of the sources we monitor:

What We Are (and Aren't)

Free aggregator. We collect screening listings from 30+ sources so you don't have to check them all.

No account required. Browse and search everything without signing up.

Updated automatically. Scrapers run multiple times per day to catch new listings fast.

We do not distribute passes directly. When you click a screening link, you're taken to the original source (Gofobo, etc.) where you claim passes directly.

We are not affiliated with any movie studio, distributor, or theater chain.

Data Quality & Methodology

Accuracy matters when you're planning to show up somewhere for a free screening. After personally attending dozens of screenings and dealing with wrong dates, missing venues, and expired passes, we built quality checks into every step:

  • TMDB enrichment: every screening is matched against The Movie Database for verified titles, posters, release dates, and cast info.
  • Duplicate detection: events from multiple sources are deduplicated by title, venue, city, and date to avoid clutter.
  • Early screening detection: we compare screening dates against official release dates to flag genuine advance screenings.
  • Expired event handling: past events are clearly labeled and eventually removed from active listings.
  • Manual review: our team curates Staff Picks and reviews flagged events to catch errors automated systems miss.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is SeeItEarly really free?

Yes. Every advance screening listed on SeeItEarly is free to discover — we aggregate passes from Gofobo, 1iota, studio portals, Alamo Drafthouse, and 30+ other sources. We don't take affiliate commissions on free passes (per our Footer disclosure), so the listings reflect what's actually available, not what makes us money.

How does SeeItEarly find these screenings?

Automated scrapers run multiple times every day across 30+ official sources, including Gofobo, 1iota, Alamo Drafthouse, Eventbrite, Ticketmaster, and major studio screening portals. New listings show up on SeeItEarly within hours of being announced. Studios announce screenings 2-4 weeks before a film's release date, so checking back regularly is the best way to catch them while passes are still available.

What kinds of events does SeeItEarly cover?

Advance movie screenings, world premieres, fan events, film festivals, Q&A panels with talent, and live concert performances of film scores. We don't list standard movie tickets you can already buy on Fandango — only the kind of events that require claiming a pass through a screening platform or studio promo.

How do I claim a pass once I find a screening I want?

Click any screening listing and follow the link to the source site (Gofobo, 1iota, etc.) where you can claim your free pass. Most passes are first-come, first-served, so act quickly when new screenings post. Arrive 30-45 minutes early since free screenings are typically overbooked, and seating is on a first-come basis.

Who's behind SeeItEarly?

Built by Josiah Rininger, who has attended 66+ advance screenings, premieres, and industry events across Los Angeles, New York, and Atlanta since 2020. The site exists to consolidate scattered screening listings — previously spread across a dozen different platforms — into one searchable feed. See the founder profile for the full background and credentials.
