Free advance screenings in Denver
Denver is a growing screening market that studios increasingly use to test films with mountain-west audiences. The city's young, active, and educated population makes it an attractive market for action, adventure, sci-fi, and outdoor-themed films. Denver's film community has expanded significantly in recent years, with the arrival of Alamo Drafthouse and a revitalized Denver Film organization providing year-round screening opportunities. The mile-high city's central geographic position also makes it a useful barometer for how films will play across the western half of the United States.
Denver's screening scene has grown from a minor market to a respectable mid-tier city for advance events. Studios send a regular stream of free-pass screenings, particularly for wide-release action films and family titles. Passes are distributed through Gofobo, Advance Screenings, and local media outlets including Westword and the Denver Post. The Denver Film Society (now Denver Film) operates year-round programming at the Sie FilmCenter and hosts the Denver Film Festival, one of the largest in the region. Alamo Drafthouse locations have added curated advance screening events with food pairings.
