What happens after I submit a screening?
We auto-detect the movie title, poster, and synopsis from the page you link, then validate the source. Screenings from trusted distributors (Gofobo, 1iota, studio portals, etc.) publish instantly. Submissions from less common sources go through a quick manual review — usually within a few hours during business days.
How long does it take for my submission to appear?
Trusted-source links are live within a few seconds of submitting. Manual-review submissions usually publish within 1-2 business days. If we can't verify the screening details (broken link, requires login, etc.) we'll skip it rather than publish incomplete info.
Can I submit the same screening from multiple sources?
Yes — if a screening is listed on Gofobo and ALSO has a separate Eventbrite or studio portal page, submit each one. Our deduper consolidates them into a single screening with multiple claim links so users get options on where to claim. Duplicate submissions for the same source URL are silently ignored.
What if the link doesn't have all the details?
If the auto-detection misses fields (date, time, venue, city), the form lets you fill them in manually before submitting. Without a date or city we can't list it — those are required for the listing to be useful. Posters and synopses are auto-filled from TMDB if the title matches.
Who reviews submissions?
Currently the founder reviews any non-trusted-source submission personally. We don't accept PR pitches or affiliate-driven submissions — only legitimate advance screenings open to general moviegoers. If your submission gets rejected, you'll see the reason in the manual-review queue (no email follow-up yet).
