Clearly, they missed the mark with this dose of nightmare fuel, the Stanley Kramer-produced live-action Dr. Seuss-penned musical fantasia, THE 5,000 FINGERS OF DR. T. Originally conceived as a parable to post-war fascism, DR. T finds young music enthusiast Bart pitted in a dream realm against the eponymous taskmaster who has designs to have 500 boys play his multi-keyed piano. (Jake Isgar)
