PLAYTIME is presented as part of our Boots Riley Guest Selects for his new film, I LOVE BOOSTERS . If you've seen it, you know why I'm picking it. If you haven't seen it, you're in for a ride. Jacques Tati started off as a clown, like a literal clown, and took what he knew from that into his work, and PLAYTIME is largely with no dialogue. The movie is as much about humanity as it is about architecture and our engagement with it. It's a physical comedy, and it's one that takes time. It's a delight, and I'm delighted to have you watch it. (Boots Riley)
